Grammar Carlton Auckland’ s most progressive Club was formed in 1996 between Grammar Old Boys and Carlton Rugby Clubs and carries the proud tradition of these two clubs into the professional rugby era.

On-Field Success

• In 2008 we had 26 players selected for Auckland Representative teams from Auckland Under 20s through to the Blues. In the last three seasons , the club has won the Premier Reserve competition twice, won the Under 19s twice and been runners up once and been third in the Under 21s.
• The Club has produced 40 All Blacks along with many Blues and Auckland representatives.

Strong coaching structuree

• Rugby Director Alfie Uluinayau - Played & Coached professionally in Japan, played over 100 premier club games and representative rugby for Auckland.
• Ant Strachan – Former All Black and Current Blues Manager
• Brandon Jackson - 10 years playing and coaching professionally. 26 games for Blues. 4 All Black Trials.
• A team of High quality coaches who are continually seeking excellence

Resources and facilities

• Our facilities at Cornwall Park in the Epsom are handily placed to the city and all major transport routes.
• Excellent training facilities and enjoyable social facilities for both players and supporters.

Scholarship programme

• Grammar Carlton offers players who are studying at any bona fide tertiary institution (including apprenticeships) the opportunity to join its Scholarship programme. This year 17 players were assisted with their fees by way of scholarship grants. 30 players have in the last four years been recipients of scholarships.

Off Season training

• The club provides a well structured programme which includes Gym Membership
• Pre season training will start for all teams: 6.30 Tuesday and Thursday, at the Clubrooms, Puriri Drive, Cornwall Park, February10th 2009.
• All prospective players train together which builds team and Club spirit amongst our teams.
