Grammar Carlton Premiers played in the Gallaher shield final against Ponsonby on the 24th July 2010 at Eden park, losing 30-19. The ultimate prize in Auckland club rugby eluded the team for this season. It was an outstanding result for the season to get to the final, along the way picking up the Alan McEvoy Trophy for winning the 1st round and the Waka Nathan Challenge cup.
The team Played 22 games, won 19, lost 3. Winners of Waka Nathan Trophy and Alan McEvoy Trophy. The Team scored a total 912 points with 282 against.
Ash Moeke was top points scorer with 255 points. Top Try scorer was Bryce Heem with 13.
